Brewery Opens in Ypsilanti, MI

It's not often a regular folk like me gets to help a brewery come to life.
These past few months, I have had just that opportunity. Now, I get to see the efforts of the owners, a handful of other volunteers and me come to fruition at last. Tonight is the pre-opening party for the Corner Brewery. I expect this establishment to become an important part of the fabric of downtown Ypsi and am proud to have played a part. The word "Pub" comes from "Public House". Anyone who has spent time in Europe has certainly experienced one - a place where the public can gather and relax. The American concept of a pub or bar is one-dimensional; so much of the character and potential of such a place has been lost. The owners, Matt and Rene Greff hope to reintroduce the concept of a true Public House to the citizens of Ypsi. They open for business on Thursday, June 1 - stop in if you're in the neighborhood. Please peruse the website and blog for further details and background. More to follow...

Hicksville Man Finds Lifepartner

Ypsilanti, MI (API) -- Hicksville, NY apartment dweller and online dating service 3rd baseman Chris Cassar has found a lifepartner. Mr Cassar recently visited the exclusive getaway destination and brewer's paradise of Ypsilanti. While there, he made a visit to The Arb in neighboring Ann Arbor which is where it is suspected the two met. Little is known of the details of their relationship, but it is believed that the two share an interest in low-maintenance relationships and long visits to the park (The Arb, exclusively). The two were photographed by a park visitor who noted privately: "The short stature and flat head to rest your beer on are positive traits for a mate in most men's eyes." For now it appears that the two will pursue a long-distance relationship and it is guessed that they will see each other again before the end of the Michigan summer scuba diving season.

In my spare time I am a developer/tester for a piece of software I never get to use, though I would rather test my mad skillz at rockin', I get yelled at for repeatedly slamming out "Pinball Wizard" on my Takamini Santa-Fe as no one understands that which is and shall remain Pete "Acquitted of his crime by the courts but the media never bothered to let anyone know after the fact." Townsend.

Evidently Rudy "Unsprach-able Fiend of the Four String'" Sarzo is doing both. Bass playin' fool for Ozzy and Bonnie Wee Ozzy (Ronnie James Dio), may have been in several hair bands of the 80's, but a student of post digital Cartesian implimentation? This is the Rudy ye never knew.

Rock on Rudy Sarzo! Viva' los Studio Max!
